The local Lafayette, Indiana, newspaper (the Journal & Courier) featured a young man named Evam Colford in the 16th of July 2017 edition. I know people say that the quality of journalism is declining, but they only made three mistakes in this one sentence caption!

A Wedding Address for Economists [pdf]

A wedding ceremony typically includes an Address on Marriage which outlines the meaning of marriage as viewed by the agents involved. The literature includes many such Addresses, many of which focus on the religous and historical import of marriage, although none reflect on the economic structure of marriage. We herefore correct this stunning oversight. This paper consists of the Address on Marriage that the authors used at their recent wedding. Our research into the utility of marriage is ongoing.

Vancouver Cougars

I played Australian rules football with the Vancouver Cougars in the British Columbia Australian Football League during grad school. The Cougars were formed in 2001 and since then the League has grown to 5 teams. One of my team mates enjoys dabbling in a bit of graphic design in his spare time and made me a player card, featured below.

Two highlights of our season are the Australia Day (January 26) game of Australian Football against the ISSC Vancouver Gaelic football team, and the return match on St. Patrick's Day where we play Gaelic football against the Irish boys.
